Welcome New and Returning Students and Faculty to the MacOdrum Library
We are so happy to be welcoming new and returning students to our library this year. While we have been open to some extent throughout most of the past two years, we are anticipating the return of many more students to our library building this September. We are also excited to share our newly renovated spaces with you: the tunnel space and entrance and our second floor service area. Some renovations will be still underway in September, notably the fourth floor; we apologize in advance for any noise and disruption and eagerly anticipate reopening this space when the work is done. The Library has always been at the heart of Carleton, not only as a place to access information but also as a space for our community to gather and learn.
Carleton Library is a vibrant and active partner in teaching, learning, and research across all disciplines of the university. A centre of knowledge, interdisciplinarity, and community, the Library collects, disseminates, and generates information, serving the campus and beyond. We look forward to offering more in-person services; however, we will continue to offer the virtual support and services that you have come to rely on.
The Library welcomes all faculty, students, and staff as well as the community; its staff are dedicated to understanding and meeting the needs of its users. The library building is a space for people, connections, and learning. We look forward to seeing new and familiar faces this fall and always feel free to contact us.
