Compustat provides historical fundamental and market data for both active and inactive companies to facilitate historical research and analysis. The data comes standardized and thus permits easy comparisons for all data whether it be company, industry or business cycle analysis. Data is available for company analysis dating all the way back to 1950 and includes historical daily and monthly prices, dividends, and corporate actions.
