Description

Digital library of academic journals, books and primary sources.

Carleton subscribes to the complete archives of a large number of major journals in a variety of subjects. JSTOR is a "moving wall" archive: newer years are added as publishers allow. For example, one journal may cover everything up to 3 years ago, while another may cover everything up to 5 years ago.

Carleton also has access to eBooks from selected Subject Collections in Business & Economics, Film Studies, History, Law, Political Science and Sociology.

Open access ebooks are also available through JSTOR. Users do not need to register, and there are no DRM restrictions or limits on chapter PDF downloads or printing.

Clear your browser history for best results, especially if you land on a page asking you to log in through your library.

If you are experiencing slow loading times or printing errors with Firefox 19 new built-in PDF viewer, please try these workaround options recommended by JSTOR.

  • Use the "Download" icon in the upper right corner of the PDF viewer, or
  • Right click on "View PDF" and select "Save Link as...". This will allow you to save the PDF to your computer and should allow for a faster, more successful download. You can then open the file with another PDF viewer (such as Adobe) and use the print controls to print the article.
