Legal materials on slavery in the United States and the English-speaking world.

This includes statutes passed by colonies and states on slavery, federal statutes dealing with slavery, and reported state and federal cases on slavery. The library has hundreds of pamphlets and books on slavery as well as a comprehensive collection of English-language legal commentary on slavery published before 1920. Word searchable access to all Congressional debates from the Continental Congress to 1880 is provided. The collection also includes modern histories of slavery, and a section containing all modern law review articles on the subject.
