WRDS (Wharton Research Data Services) will require two-factor authentication (2FA) effective December 5, 2022 from web logins (faculty and graduate accounts only, not access passes). 2FA will improve the security of your password and prevent unauthorized access to the data hosted on WRDS.
We recommend reviewing the instructions WRDS has developed for setting up 2FA:
WRDS is using the Duo Mobile solution. Duo is the same authentication product used by Carleton, see ITS' Carleton Duo information. As a result, you may already have downloaded your Duo Mobile App to your smartphone. The instructions also provide an option for those without access to a smartphone.
You can expect Duo authentication for WRDS every 30 days if you are using the same device or browser and you have not cleared your cookies.
