Description

The National Capital Commission (NCC) scanned and georeferenced 20 NCC streetmaps from 1954-1976. From the description provided by the NCC: "The positional accuracy of the earlier maps is very 'loose' but gets progressively better in the later years. Regardless, [the maps] provide a pictorial venue when studying the growing extent of the urban areas, the in-fill of Nepean Bay along the Ottawa River, the changing plans for transportation corridors, and the former extents of the Rockcliffe Airport."
