Ottawa Orthophotos (1928-2017, intermittent)

Unless otherwise specified, orthorectified air photos cover the City of Ottawa and also extend across the river to include parts of the City of Gatineau. For more Gatineau coverage, see the National Capital Commission orthophoto collections.

1999: Each photo covers a 2km x 2km area.

1976: Each photo covers a 5km x 5km area.

1958: Black and white air photos of the Ottawa-Gatineau region that are scanned and georeferenced from 1958. The photos are not for the entire city of Ottawa but cover a strip that became Highway 417.

Other Metadata:

2002: The air photos were taken from May 22, 2002 to June 7, 2002. The 2002 photos have been fully orthorectified based on a 50m DEM with breakline information and approximately 200 ground control measurements. The original air photo images were mosaiced together and compressed using MrSID. 2002 detailed metadata

2017 NIR: The NIR imagery was flown over two days: August 28^th and September 2^nd, 2017.
