Description

A watershed, also known as a catchment basin or area, includes all of the land that is drained by a watercourse and its tributaries.

Watershed Secondary:

A secondary watershed is a polygon feature that identifies one of the thirty subdivisions of the primary watershed divisions which comprise the entire Province of Ontario. Most secondary divisions are either large river systems or groupings of small coastal streams.

Watershed Tertiary:

A tertiary watershed is a polygon feature that identifies one of the 147 subdivisions of the secondary watershed divisions which comprise the entire Province of Ontario.

Watershed Quaternary:

A quaternary watershed is a polygon feature that identifies one of the 1000+ subdivisions of the tertiary watershed divisions which comprise the entire Province of Ontario.
