I need to select terms or keywords to search with

There are many ways to figure out Keywords and Terms for searching.

• Get some background information for your topic.
• Check out Wikipedia or an encyclopedia to begin finding terms for your searches.
• Once you have some do a search in OMNI or another Database. Open up a related book or journal article and check the Subject Headings listed in the record. These are the terms used in that particular database and you can add them to your search.

• Use a Thesaurus to find related terms.

You can now add your extra terms to your search string. For example:

(salary OR pay OR wages OR income OR earnings)
