Canadian Guide to Uniform Legal Citation

Changes to Library services during the COVID-19 lockdown.

The Canadian Guide to Uniform Legal Citation (McGill Guide) is the style guide most commonly used by Canadian courts, law journals, universities and legal practitioners.

The 9th edition of the McGill Guide is available for consultation in print at Reserves, as well as at the Research Help Desk. MacOdrum Library has created a legal citations tip sheet for a quick overview of some of the more common citation styles. Queen's University Library also has a good legal citations guide, as does the University of Toronto.
