Archives & Special Collections is pleased to offer contactless access to our collections. At this time, appointments are only available to Carleton students, faculty, and staff. If you are interested in making an appointment, please contact email@example.com and provide information about the material you would like to consult. Please include a call number or archival reference code where applicable. Search for archival collections here, and you can find rare books and special collections, such as the Ottawa Resource Collection, through an Omni search.
Appointments will be available from Tuesday to Thursday for a duration of two hours. Please contact Archives & Special Collections a minimum of 48 hours before your desired appointment date.
Our new reference room located in ML583 (attached to Archives & Special Collections) can accommodate one researcher at a time. All public health measures must be followed for the duration of the appointment.
Information about entering the Library building
On the morning of your appointment, you will need to complete the form located on this page.
You will need to click on the red button labelled "COVID-19 Screening form for employees and students" When you click on the form it will require you to enter your MC1 login information. When it is completed, you will get an email to your Carleton account. You will need to show this email when you enter the Library. Please print the email off or have it displaying on your phone or other device if possible.
When you enter the building, you will also be asked to complete a second questionnaire to aid with contact tracing. Please complete form by scanning QR code with your cellphone camera. If you do not have a cellphone, the staff at the desk will assist you.
