Getting Started

Reference resources like dictionaries and encyclopedias are a good place to get started because they will give you definitions for key concepts.  These concepts can be used as database search terms and the definitions will help you to refine database saerches.

They will also provide background information as to the chronology of research for various topics: what research has been conducted and the names of the researchers who have been involved.
